AK's Preseason Power Rankings!

Anthony graciously agreed to do his own power rankings - they are below, unedited. Enjoy!

#1 - Grumpy Smallmouth
     - Reason why #1: Best starting line-up top-to-bottom, great depth at RB and WR, Cal. Johnson AND Julio Jones.
     - Hole(s) in Line-up: None as of right now
     - What could go wrong: Rivers continues to be erratic especially without VJax, Gore continues to decline, Beanie remains injury-prone, Charles doesn't return to pre-injury form and Hillis steals some of his thunder.

#2 - Kapitalizm Stompers
     - Reason why #2: #1 RB Arian Foster, apparently-revived CJ2K, Cam Newton, and Decker has tons of upside with Peyton throwing his way early and often
     - Hole(s) in Line-up: No legitimate FLEX play as of right now
     - What could go wrong: Newton has a sophomore slump, CJ2K doesn't return to 2009, or even 2010, form, no FLEX play ever emerges, Nicks and/or Gates get injured again

#3 - (tie) Greece Lightning/Athens Panathinaikos
     - Reason why #3: Greece - All-around stud Aaron Rodgers, consistent all-around RBs in Forte, Jackson, and Sproles, Jennings
Athens - awesome 1/2 punch with MJD and Rice, young studs Stafford and Graham, and consistency of Welker, upsides of Garcon and Harvin
     - Hole(s) in Line-up: Greece - #2 WR is a toss-up between VJax and A. Brown
Athens - FLEX play is a toss-up between Bowe and Garcon.
     - What could go wrong: Greece - Forte gets injured again AND loses goal-line touches to Bush, Jackson gets injured again AND loses touches to Spiller, VJax struggles in Tampa Bay, and Brown never gains #1 status over Wallace
Athens - MJD continues to hold-out into the season and/or gets injured immediately upon returning, Welker returns to WR2 status with Lloyd in tow and Gronk/Hernandez taking a huge piece of the receiving pie away, Stafford gets injured again

#5 - Bafana Bafana (Championship Dark-horse)
     - Reason why #5 (playoff contender): Tom Brady, Lynch in Beastmode again, AP returns to form, Wallace/Green/Colston are reliable weekly performers
     - Hole(s) in Line-up: FLEX play is a toss-up between Bradshaw and D. Williams, who have injury and consistency issues
     - What could go wrong: AP takes most of the season to return to form, Lynch turns off Beastmode with new contract in hand, Bradshaw/D.Williams remain injury-prone and inconsistent, Wallace has trouble regaining form after lengthy hold-out; Bafana could definitely start 0-4 or 0-5, then win 9-10 in a row.

#6 - (tie) Hillbilly Jihad/Melonheads~/LA Rams
     - Reason why #6 (playoff contenders but have serious question marks): Hillybilly Jihad - Brees is a stud, and Mathews can be a stud but is injury-prone, Nelson and Marshall can be beasts, but Nelson has Jennings to contend with, and Marshall has only ONCE had more than 7 TDs in a season
Melonheads~ - Vick and McCoy could carry this team every week, but Vick is extremely injury-prone at this point, Dez Bryant has all the talent in the world but continues to act like a knuckle-head and has had his own injury issues, Steve Smith is getting older fast but still flashes signs of being a top-5 WR, Trent Richardson COULD be a top-10 RB, but has a troublesome knee.
LA Rams - a healthy Peyton Manning looks ready to return to fantasy prominence in Denver, Andre Johnson and Victor Cruz are both top-5 quality WRs, but Johnson has major injury risk, and there is a ton of RB depth even though there are no major stand-outs as of yet
    - Hole(s) in Line-up: Hillybilly Jihad have NO FLEX plays whatsoever and both teams have absolutely NO RB depth.
LA Rams - with no stand-outs at RB, every week will be a match-up disaster when setting a line-up, scary lack of depth behind Johnson and Cruz at WR
    - What could go RIGHT: Hillbilly Jihad - Mathews returns in time to start season and performs like stud he is expected to be, Nelson and Marshall are every-week studs, Martin is the young stud RB everyone is projecting him to be, and Otis is able to trade RGIII for a stud RB or WR to put in his FLEX spot
Melonheads~ - Vick stays healthy all season and produces 2010 numbers, Richardson returns in time for start of season and produces like young stud RB everyone is projecting him to be, Steve Smith continues to defy Father Time, and Dez Bryant gets his act together and takes over #1 WR spot in Dallas
LA Rams - Peyton is healthy all season and returns to top-5 QB status, Andre Johnson stays healthy all season and returns to top-5 WR status, Fred Davis is the 'next big thing' at TE, and 3 different RBs from stable of RBs emerge to be reliable every-week starters (OR AK packages 2 or 3 RBs for 1 stud top-10 RB).

#9 - FC Castro
     - Reason why #9: Matt Ryan is solid but still can't push through to elite status, Bush will find it difficult to prove that 2011 was NOT a fluke, SJax might continue to decline, Roddy White becomes second fiddle to Julio Jones, no reliable FLEX play
     - Hole(s) in Line-up: FLEX play is a toss-up between Ingram, Blount, and Stevie Johnson; #2 RB and #2 WR are iffy with Bush and DeSean Jackson being major question marks
     - What could go RIGHT: Gronk continues to produce at HOF level, SJax delays long-expected demise, Bush continues to perform, Jackson returns to 2010 form, Roddy White remains Matt Ryan's favorite target

#10 - Manimals
     - Reason why #10: no obvious QB1, no every-week RB starter after McFadden, toss-up at #2 WR, and no obvious FLEX play
     - Hole(s) in Line-up: see above
     - What could go RIGHT: McFadden recaptures early 2010 form, David Wilson takes over for Bradshaw in New York, Stewart overcomes pre-season ankle injury to take over #1 spot in Carolina, Fitz continues to perform like top-5 WR, Cutler returns to QB1 status with Marshall and Jefferey to throw to and Forte back in tow.

I disagree with the Castro's ranking. This is crap. Mills is going to shit when he reads this.
