One game past the regular midseason mark and it's time to start tracking that dreaded, yet desired, Top 5 designation at each position.
QB $66 (The Usual Suspects)
- Aaron Rodgers $128 - 217.5 fp - still doing it game after game.
- Drew Brees $72 - 202.4 fp - almost three times more points than Mike & Ike Turner.
- Tom Brady $80 - 199.52 fp - who said he is having an "off" year?
- RG 3 $45 - 192.72 - damn he's good.
- Matt Ryan $11 - 183.22 fp - Matty Ice almost sure to get big salary boost.
Next up: Peyton Manning with 179.62 fp's and Roethlisberger way behind that.
RB $175 (Few surprises, yet not nearly sorted out)
- Arian Foster $175 - 133.6 fp - He runs alot and well.
- Adrian Peterson $167 - 113.4 fp - What knee issue?
- Ray Rice $176 - 106.9 fp - Imagine if he actually got to carry the ball more than 15 times/game.
- Stevan Ridley $26 - 104.7 fp - The wildcard. Will Bellichick mess with his production?
- Trent Richardson $170 - 103.9 fp - The kid runs like a bull.
Next up: Alfred Morris, Marshawn Lynch, and Doug Martin all over 100 fp's.
WR $134 (alot of salary increases possible, where's Megatron?)
- Victor Cruz $118 - 107 fp - No one-year wonder here.
- AJ Green $22 - 106.7 fp - Is he the best WR in the NFL?
- Percy Harvin $33 - 103.9 fp - Half of the points have come off of bubble screens.
- Vincent Jackson $6 - 92.6 fp - Shines one day, disappears the next.
- Brandon Marshall $7 - 91.5 fp - Will he finally get the money he deserves from Otis?
Next up: Colston, Demarius Thomas, Reggie Wayne, Jordy Nelson all have more than 85 fp's.
TE $13 (for a position with so many "options", the dropoff is big)
- Rob Gronkowski $13 - 98 fp - Take away all 7 TD's and he is STILL Top 5.
- Heath Miller $1 - 71.6 fp - This is what happens when you lead all players in red zone targets.
- Tony Gonzalez $20 - 69.9 fp - He should never retire.
- Owens Daniel $4 - 65.6 fp - good enough to start at FLEX if you're Castro.
- Veron Davis $7 - 61.4 fp - he has scored 4.2 pts/game the past month and still here.
Next up: Kyle Rudolph, Jimmy Graham, and Jason Witten all within 6 fp's of Top 5.
