With the end of the dreaded "bye" weeks, the IShoe league moves into the home-stretch - 4 games remaining in a dash to the playoffs. Here are abbreviated power rankings with playoff odds for each team.
1) Kapitalizm Stompers - 100%.
2) Vick in a Box - 95%.
3) Melonheads~ 75%.
4) FC Castro - 50%.
T-5) AJFA - 45%.
T-5) Greece Lightning - 45%.
7) Bafana Bafana - 15%.
8) LA Rams - 5%.
9) Athens - 2%.
10) Manimals - 1%.
Top 5 QBs
1) Philip Rivers - 214.36
2) Kyle Orton - 203.14
3) Aaron Rodgers - 199.30
4) Peyton Manning - 191.92
5) Tom Brady - 186.54
Just missing: Drew Brees (185.68), Eli Manning (180.62); Matt Ryan (180); and Mike Vick (178.10). Although the salary increase for QB's is not huge, there could be big bumps for Orton, Ryan, or Vick.
Top 5 RBs
1) Arian Foster - 187.90
2) Adrian Peterson - 166.90
3) Frank Gore - 145.30
4) Peyton Hillis - 144.72
5) Chris Johnson - 143.50
Just missing: Darren McFadden (133.90); LeSean McCoy (130.70); Rashad Mendenhall (127.00); Ahmad Bradshaw (126.00); Jamal Charles (123.80). There will be a mad dash - to the bottom - for the players in spots 3 through 10. All except Chris Johnson would see a huge bump in salary. Gore, Hillis, McFadden, McCoy, Bradshaw, and Charles are the 6 most cost-effective players in IShoe. Foster is #1, but basically guaranteed a big salary. Peterson and Johnson are looking at a 20% increase for 2-straight years in the top 5.
Top WR's
1) Roddy White - 135.70
2) Brandon Lloyd - 132.80
3) Hakeem Nicks - 127.50
4) Terrell Owens - 125.40
5) Calvin Johnson - 124.30
Just missing: Dwayne Bowe (115); Mike Wallace (106.3); DeSean Jackson (105.4); Jeremy Maclin (104.1). The top 5 is fairly established, but big games down the stretch could mean big increases for Bowe and Wallace. Lloyd, Nicks, and Owens look to make big money next year.
The rest TE's, Ks, and Def salaries are relatively small, and will not significantly alter a team's salary cap.
