Stompers Deny Allegations of Black Magic and Voodoo

As many of you know, Greece Lightening issued the following Complaint against the Kapitalizm Stompers on the basis that the Stompers were engaged in illegal conduct which included voodoo and black magic:

President, Coach, and GM of Greece Lightning has filed a formal complaint against Stompers GM and league commissioner M. McKeon of "voodoo practices and illegal use of black magic."
The complaint sites moments in the 2009 season and the current season where McKeon posted ratings or congratulated GL players for their performance, only to see the opposite happen afterwards.
"I believe last year he gave the evil eye to Aaron Rodgers, and this year he managed to jinx the entire team."
Following a statement that GL has scored over 100 points in the last 4 weeks and ranking them 4th in the power rankings, GL has scored in the 80's and then this week in the 50's!
"It's pretty clear that his voodoo practices have really caused havoc with our performance, luck, and even coaching. We believe he has stolen our mojo, likely that of other teams such as Athens Panathinaikos, and used it to propel the Stompers to the league's best record."
This week, GL unusually benched two of their starters who scored over 30 points combined (that's more than half the points the starters scored). GM and coach could not understand how that occurred and claimed he was in a strange haze when submitting the starting lineup.
This is an unprecedented complaint that is sure to send shockwaves across the league.


Earlier today, the Stompers issued the following response:

"Today the Kapitalizm Stompers issue the most stringent denial as to allegations that the Stompers have practiced acts of black magic and voodoo against another league member. Further, the Stompers wish to assure our comrades at arms in the Balkans that it has never been the policy or practice of the Stompers to engage in such conduct against our allies. We wish to remind our friends in the Balkans that your true enemy lies in West, counting his money as your nation struggles to stay afloat amidst a tidal wave of economic devastation brought about by the free-market principles of greed and selfishness. His black magic is his invisible hand of kapitalizm, which is destroying your way of life and ravaging your countryside.

The public comments referenced in the Complaint speak for themselves, as they were nothing more than kind words imparted to an old friend. Given the shocking, baseless and inflammatory nature of the Complaint, we fear that a rogue faction may have seized control of Greece Lightening. So today we have drawn a line in the Baklava and have begun massing our peace-keeping troops at the border should intervention become necessary to preserve peace. We are firmly committed to preserving the integrity, sovereignty and autonomy of Greece Lightening, and will take whatever action that is necessary to ensure that the government of Greece Lightening is not compromised by a shadow faction or Ottoman agitators."

Kapitalizm Stomper peacekeeping forces have been mobilized and assigned to volatile border regions to protect the Greece Lightening government from Ottoman invaders.
